The Anchorage Clay Arts Guild presents an inspiring ceramic workshop weekend featuring the artist - Eva Funderburgh! In this workshop you will learn techniques for building her sculptures and make your own pair of monsters! The two day workshop will cover the building process & capturing emotion.

About the Event
Eva Funderburgh is a Seattle-based artist known for her emotive animal forms and unique imaginary creatures. In this three day long event, you will learn about her work through a lecture and slide show (Friday evening May 16th) and all about her techniques for building her sculptures while making your own pair of monsters (Saturday & Sunday, May 17th and 18th). The two day "making" workshop will cover using multiple pinch pots to build creatures, along with tips for capturing move and emotion within your form. Eva Funderburgh is a Seattle-based sculptor working in ceramic, bronze, and installation. Born in Seattle, she grew up in Kansas before moving to Pittsburgh at age 16. She attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she received a Bachelor’s of Science and Art. In 2010, she was an artist in residence in Denmark at the Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center, an experience that inspired her to revisit…
